A Fathers Son
A Fathers Son
The first of my steps were wobbly at best. And as he released me I ran with the best.
I grew and I learned with a heart that was pure. A love with an in innocent truth that’s as sure.
Life’s challenging passages, moments in time. Life’s questions were wrestling deep in my mind.
A heart that is given so keen and so true. Was left to be broken a world that’s so blue.
A trust must be taken and kept for myself. But the look in her eye put that doubt on a shelf.
The moments I wait for the sight of this being. A love thats a new and it makes my heart sing.
To watch and to hope for the best of his life. The fear and the want for the joy and no strife.
His steps as I hold him are wobbly at best. And as I release him I prey for the best.
