A love alive
I buried you and said goodbye
A resurrection will never be
I moved on and overcame my loss
Always working to find a happy "Me"
School, work, feeding my mind and time
Connecting with family and friends I kept near
But somehow you crawled out of the grime
And showed me a feeling I once held dear
"It's you" I said with utter shock
I held my breath believing it a dream
"I'm here" you said, "I'm here my love"
I held you, cried, laughed and screamed
I prayed once for you to be forgotten
I prayed for you to be apart
But God had a plan to keep it fluttering
pumping sweet loving blood into my heart
A resurrection will never be
I moved on and overcame my loss
Always working to find a happy "Me"
School, work, feeding my mind and time
Connecting with family and friends I kept near
But somehow you crawled out of the grime
And showed me a feeling I once held dear
"It's you" I said with utter shock
I held my breath believing it a dream
"I'm here" you said, "I'm here my love"
I held you, cried, laughed and screamed
I prayed once for you to be forgotten
I prayed for you to be apart
But God had a plan to keep it fluttering
pumping sweet loving blood into my heart
