a poem for the sad ones
you make my heart pound and my stomach turn
not from excitement anymore though but from fear
fear that one day, she will make you happier than i ever did
fear that one day, she will replace me and you wont have a second thought about it.
fear that one day, you will be gone and my heart will rip apart and have to be sewn back together by myself
i’m falling apart but by the way you act so cool towards me, i try to do the same
like the smooth cascading ripples seen after skipping a rock through a pound
you say nothing is wrong and eventually things will be the same but everything has changed
change was my biggest fear. but now you, you.. have become my biggest fear.

This Poems Story
this is a poem i made when my boyfriend and i were going through a lot of difficulties in our relationship. we did eventually break up but i do believe poetry helped me a lot through it. this poem was actually one i sent him to help him understand how i felt.
