A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace
You choose to withdraw
Oblivion from it all
Won’t beg you to change
On loves’s tender refrain
The heart does weep
For the bitterness you keep
You blind yourselves to see
Unity is the key
Love would never change the essence of who you are
Only seek to learn from the mistakes before
Think first of sacrifice
Not of false artifice
Don’t kick love in the face
It is your saving grace
You choose to withdraw
Oblivion from it all
Won’t beg you to change
On loves’s tender refrain
The heart does weep
For the bitterness you keep
You blind yourselves to see
Unity is the key
Love would never change the essence of who you are
Only seek to learn from the mistakes before
Think first of sacrifice
Not of false artifice
Don’t kick love in the face
It is your saving grace
