A time of waiting

I lay cuddled in bed, feeling very anxious as same as before,
left with this awakening confusing adoration, and yet I await
some more, watching the slow burning sunset, in search of
calmness upon that feeling moment of breathlessness, in
the hearing of those familiar footsteps approaching, like maybe
my heart is telling me something while waiting some more under
the bedsheets, thirstier towards my own escalating eagerness, I
await some more, not sure once again.
