A Wonderful Thing
It has been almost twenty years,
a whole lifetime full of tears.
It is hard to believe it has bee that long,
I have tried very hard to stay strong.
I wish you could have met your little brother,
I love to imagine you playing with each other,
fighting and arguing and ignoring your mother.
Kurtys and Jaymes outside playing and running around,
Mommy trying to keep up and just falling to the ground.
That would be a wonderful thing,
but now I have to wake up and let the day begin.
