After the Storm (Raft)_Stephanie Booker-Wynn(Dockett)

After the winds have blown and the skies have cleared ,We watch as the raft has caused a great disaster , We pray and look for survivors and try to send help to those in need. The damage is overwhelming. So many trees and wires ,people and workers everywhere, I watch as I travel ,the news I , on transit the day before, I make my way to work and then church. We together see many struggles to get back to normal, looks like it will be a long time before someone will be free of debris, and it appears to be more rain on the way. And more storms, Great storms after another one. A touch down at the airport, and north & south and then Illinois. A night of peace for us after the sirens but a turbulent night for others. More days and months to come for cleanup, more than we can even imagine. I and we saw this life with our own eyes. A silent word of prayer I will pray that everyone gets to safe shelter. And find a warm place and get a good meal. And try to rebuild life. And it will make my work even more important, I sit and I watch and I hear life ringing even at my door, the day that the Lord prepared for us what a wonderful God he is. What a life we have that someone else gave us, to have some part in it. And when it is said and done, we have nothing to do with it. We can live and make a difference when God decides he wants us. It will matter about someone else’s life and it won't be about just your life and life will continue going on where it has to go. And won't wait for us either and will blow on by us to. It will take a loving God to love us unconditional, for us to understand that this life has true meaning, it will always be better with God who is never late but right there. We don’t have a clue of what we are supposed to do, an unselfish God for selfish man.
