Alzheimer\'s

Waking you up every morning
Your breakfast is ready
And we sit to conversate
I kiss your forehead and say hello
As you start to begin your day
I read you stories that you wrote
And constantly telling you all the same jokes
Showing you pictures of your family
Hoping one day you might come back to me
Even though it's in the past
I'm so grateful that you still talk about me
You may not remember who I am now
But that I am still in your memories

strengths: deeply evocative, powerful feelings weakness: prose structure, no punctuation needs revisions; feels like a first draft
