Anais

You wrote of spice, velvet, moss
Of Absinthe, foggy streets
Dark Wharves
Of houseboats creaking silently
Beneath the lover's dreams

Of quietness, and inner light
of tapestry, of sleepless nights
Of fingers wound in twisted sheets
Underneath, your image in the sun

You came and touched, a place in me
Interior of an egg
A silent place, of birth begun
Heartbeat, an open love

You bore no cause, no motive but
For human growth, the beauty of
A warm hand touched, a glance of joy
A silent pact
A do or die

The still clouds witnessed
A night that changed, a world for me
Because of the love, because of the love
That you pressed down, on paper for me
