Bipolar

By Carla

You speak too loudly
In echoing halls.
Meant for my ears only,
But broadcasted to infinity.

You become two sometimes three,
Personalities vying for success,
But the definition always eludes you.

Aggression, obsession, possession..
Emotional words, syllables, grunts
Utter from a soul trapped in an
Irrational body.

Endurance and Escapism challenge me
In this house of cards built on a promise:
I would take care of you.

Having a Bipolar relative is not easy, to say the least.
