Blind heart
Melting smile and twinkling eyes
they infiltrate my soul to rise
beating so that emotions arise.
maybe just my heart is blind,
when she winks
my lips become so weak
words become trapped
out of sequence as i think,
blissfully smiling back
was all the courage i could muster.
how do i share my open heart?
figuring a way to let her know,
so i nervously walked slowly by
exhaling a little timid sigh
slipping her this little note:
please rendezvous with me one night,
after work in quiet light,
under moon, discover minds
hoping to anxiously find
that my heart has not been blind.
they infiltrate my soul to rise
beating so that emotions arise.
maybe just my heart is blind,
when she winks
my lips become so weak
words become trapped
out of sequence as i think,
blissfully smiling back
was all the courage i could muster.
how do i share my open heart?
figuring a way to let her know,
so i nervously walked slowly by
exhaling a little timid sigh
slipping her this little note:
please rendezvous with me one night,
after work in quiet light,
under moon, discover minds
hoping to anxiously find
that my heart has not been blind.
