The Pen And The Brush

I can research words while reading a well written book,
in either a chatter filled café or in my own private nook.
Along with formerly read selections and those read later,
they will form an image, of which I am the creator.

For my eyes only, at first, the picture starts to appear,
like a developing snapshot, it would soon become clear.
Just like an artist uses a brush, but using pen instead,
I'll write a poetic picture of the image in my head.

Pictures and stories provide many great inspirations,
for artists and poets working on their creations.
I may use a little fiction, just to express how I feel.
The end picture itself though, couldn't be more real.
