Chill

Bitter chill has found my core,
and is rattling my existence.
Rattling teeth in sync with the score
Expending energy with involuntary persistence.
If care were made in dressing right.
Layers sealing in my precious heat.
Comfort could be on this artic night,
My mission would be safely complete.
but naively rushed because it is not that cold,
At least when I got dressed to go.
Just a light jacket I 'll not be long.
The place is heated during the show.
Reality is what happens when you are making plans.
Complications are par for the course.
No bare skin not even hands
to over dress is a better choice.
You can always remove if you dress too thick.
if you don't then you just suffer.
A rattling chill can get you sick
It doesn't make you tougher.
