Crush

By cocco

Crushes don’t last
Never ever will they as morning dew fizzle
They melt and fade
Shatter than crumble
Burn and die
When time ticks distance on board
You might feel it will last,
That’s a truthful lie through your teeth;
Don’t be so sure of yourself,
It’s a castle built in the air,
Such foundation will soon
Crumble in shattered bond
I have had that feeling once
A burning sensation, a sizzling jot of emotions,
A tingling spottish rogue,
The urge to fall in love?
But it ends so abrupt
And you then realize 'twas all a living dead dream

This Poems Story

It is about the mistakes we teenagers have failed to understand about crushes. We don't want to understand that there is a huge difference between falling in love and having a crush on someone. This often leads to failure in exams and distractions because we stop focusing on things that really matter to us and only focus on our crush.
