Cupid\'s arrow
It’s hard for me to always share my loveit’s way too deep, you dig, i shove.
I myself become confused
at love and hate i thought i knew.
Walking through the jungle reckless and weak,
confronting goblins and fairies about those answers i seek.
But little did i know i was being followed
by a cute baby fellow with a quiver of arrows,
He had wings on his back so he could fly above all
as his heart aimed arrow hits, his target then falls.
“It’s a poisoned tip” i said to myself,
then ducked behind foliage for cover...
but the being awoke with love in his eyes.
This cherub i do ponder.
So i followed him as he made his rounds
the twang of his bow string barely making a sound,
hitting every time that he let go,
a true little marksman, never missing his goal.
so i ran to him, no longer afraid.
For he’s cupid the fairy and i’m fair game.
But he only had one heart tip left
full of magic and love...
“Cupid, please aim at my chest!”
he flew and hovered over me
with folded arms was hesitant,
then started talking to me
i was confused at his intent.
“Those cloak and dagger thieves with knives
they sneak up behind people with beady red eyes
will steal your heart and replace your mind,
forgetting the difference between love and bad times”
Then quicker than lighting he drew his missile,
pull, aimed, then fired,
i felt it whiz right through my heart...
he turned away, retired.
With so much love, now in my heart -
i have nowhere to go...
for i have no cupid in my life
for all that love to show.
Then laying in a pool of love
i realized an error was made.
for he had no match for his targeted catch
for this mistake you know who paid.
