Darkness

By Brown11

Daylight arises, crisp air covers my skin, I feel peaceful outside, but there's a Darkness within

Eyes look inviting, a welcoming invitation a smile eludes no warning, a peaceful
Indentation.

Visible weakness shows in a physical form.
Strength prevails beneath as a unusual norm.

To laugh to play, to talk to engage, to drop the mic and step off the stage, closing a book without finishing the page.

Go for a run dull the pain, keeping busy
dismis the same

Eat, drink, wake up repeat. Shove aside feelings nagging at me.

Go for a drive, hit ninety five, hand out the window feeling alive.

Dancing, playing, drinking wine, sitting around no care for time.

Sleepness nights hold hostage thoughts of a better life.

All holds no relevance to the darkness inside.
