Darkness Within

I don't want to wake
and start my day,
I just want to sleep
that is when I'm at peace.
Feeling like what's the use.
Giving up on everything
that's including me
Will I always feel this away
I don't think it will go away
it's been years
I've dwelled in here .
With this darkness taking my place
Not answering my phone
or door.
I've lost my faith
I've lost the light that burned bright
could guide a ship out in the sea on shore
out of the storm.
Making my shadows
my friends
Darkness consumed where it used to shine.
The darkness Within me has consumed who I was before

Left with sadness in the darkness
In a world with no light is a world with no hopes and dreams
