Days of Dark
The world as we knew it was gone.
The light had vanished right before dawn.
Though the other worlds still had their sun,
The end of ours had just begun.
The light as we knew it had gone away.
Forever in dark we would stay.
We named this time, the days of dark.
Little had we known, this was just the start.
Hour by hour, day by day,
The biting bats had come to play.
Mutated by some unseen force,
their bite seemed to be so very much worse.
Years had gone by, before anyone knew.
The world as we knew it...
was gone.
