DESIRES OF DECEIT

My eyes see you with clarity
When you're away or close,
The ability to foresee your truth remained seen
Thought you were a decent human being

The bond we once shared
Shattered by your lies
Thou love was an empty
Promise
A love once treasured, now betrayed
Your many perfidious ways
Slowly you caused our love
To drift away

I can't hold on another day
My heart is such a mess
I surrendered my soul to thee
Believed, forever you and me
Drowning in tears, had to face my fears,

My arms are where you once found haven
We're my arms felt warmth and calm through any storm
Anchored with strength, a true love you didn't embrace

How could thee?

Deception is plastered across your face
I was easily replaced...
Look at that smirk on your face
You're such a disgrace...
One day you'll regret
True love can never be replaced.
Now I don't see that smile on your face!

When my world felt cold and wide, you pulled me closer to your side
You will miss me dearly, but I have to say goodbye
You're a waste of precious time

Our memories now linger as a faint echo,
The scent of lovemaking
Slowly drifted away
My mind continues to sway
Brings me back and forth
Reminiscing, about that day
Even from a distance,
Etched memories we once shared are hard to replace
All your deception, still a smile appears on my face
But truly my soul is lost in a dark place...

Thou love was empty and cold
Yet my love for thee... seems not to wanna flee
You and me forever we were supposed to be.
