Dios
These ways I wash and flush and find
The remnants
Of what’s left behind;
Of all I’ve seen and all I know
The path to richness
The blackened snow.
From the depths of my unknown
To the diamonds in my throne
Shimmering in the sun
Oh lustrous one.
For in the perils of my demise
I hear my souls cries
Silent sounds of lullabies.
Waiting for the glory
Is this just another story?
Is bliss in the heat of the sun
Or in all the places to which we run?
I open my hands to show thee
The trails of what’s come to be
And after countless moments of glory and pain
I can now say with without refrain:
That in Gods light you shall find
The truth of what’s left behind;
Oh woman cloaked in red
Open your eyes
Don’t rest your head-
For only in Gods light shall you see
Who you are
And who you’ll be.
The remnants
Of what’s left behind;
Of all I’ve seen and all I know
The path to richness
The blackened snow.
From the depths of my unknown
To the diamonds in my throne
Shimmering in the sun
Oh lustrous one.
For in the perils of my demise
I hear my souls cries
Silent sounds of lullabies.
Waiting for the glory
Is this just another story?
Is bliss in the heat of the sun
Or in all the places to which we run?
I open my hands to show thee
The trails of what’s come to be
And after countless moments of glory and pain
I can now say with without refrain:
That in Gods light you shall find
The truth of what’s left behind;
Oh woman cloaked in red
Open your eyes
Don’t rest your head-
For only in Gods light shall you see
Who you are
And who you’ll be.
