Don\'t force me

I know you love me
you say you do,
i know you love me
and you show me too.

but, coercing me to love you
isn’t good that way,
love should easily emanate
naturally

i loved in return
because you wanted me to,
i wanted it to develop
just so i knew

but, you were at the helm
moving too fast,
i couldn’t catch up
it just wouldn’t last.

for it’s far more binding
to let feelings grow,
discovering each other
when you consummate slow.

I know you love me

i know you love me

but, forcing me to love you
can’t last that way,
love should easily emanate
naturally.

This Poems Story

The poem is pretty explicit. The girl loved me more than i loved her at that time. Though i really liked her a lot, i didn\'t want it to be a quick thing. I needed the relationship to get to the point that i was comfortable to say \"I Love You\" and truly mean it.
