Everyone around keeps drowning my smile into a frown

Trying to transform my actions and emotions into a meltdown

Overwhelmed in their words, feeling like I might drown.

Until I look up and see the most beautiful shade of brown

When our eyes lock; my whole world calms down

The universe slows down

And suddenly I'm proud--

Of the woman I am ;

Of the woman I've become.

This crazy, wild woman that let love in for once

it is now that I close my eyes as I dance with my own spirit

No one will ever understand the appreciation of how wise it is but not dunce
