Exhausterwhelmulated

By Ess Cee

My sister saved a life
Is it my right to claim it mine?
I jolted half awake
Mrs. Mia Wallace had a torturous act to follow.
I fell to slumber, wearied, tired, higher
Mt Everest could punch holes through the heavens above, exposing stars of which long ago exhaled their last breaths.
But Everest could never reach me
Elevated
Peacocking its height over me
But it doesn’t know the length of unraveling coils in a junkie’s mortal pyre
When the needle breaks the skin
The blood spirals through my body
Las drogas coat the core of personality
It’s not me these molecules emulate
Like a warm blanket after a journey on the road so traveled it’s so matted,
Encapsulate me, poison.
Speech rendered into a mixture, precarious one worded, mutated
Thrills are rising now
I’m exhausterwhelmulated
