Extinction

Tortoise shell art made for tourists
coral reefs shoals losing their brilliance
along with swimming color patterned groups,
Shark teeth displayed on a gold chain
their fins cut off, used to make a delicacy soup
then dropped back in the sea to sink,

Fish nets meant to capture tuna
where schools swim under dolphins
don't care how many dolphins expire
as they suffocate trapped in shark pens.

almost all the mammals caught
are not even the life their after.
countries can't seem to make them stop
fishermen continue their scandalous capture.

whales and seals are hunted
for meat, oil, hides and more
they don't seem to really care
we wonder what's next in store

we pollute the sea with oil spills
along with plastic and other debris
will we ever stop these ills
murdering god's creatures of the sea?

extinction is an inevitable doom
for all life around the globe
not only will the oceans die
all the flowers too will fold

even ourselves will cease to exist
if we soon don't get a hold
on how we take care of life,
everything will stop to grow.

This is pretty obvious, we must stop killing Mother Nature and committing suicide.
