Eyes of Blue

Brillante ojos azules
It translates to
Eyes of Blue

Even seen from a far
Those sapphire stars
melted my heart down to goo

Oh it is such a tale!
When I fell to her spell
Discovering love could be true.

I’d lasso the moon
And bring it down
Just for her to keep.

Not miles, not mountains
Nor rivers nor fountains,
Nor monsters of the deep.

Could keep me away
Or hold me at bay
Just to lay down beside her and sleep.

There is no other
That I could show
the love I have for her.

A salmon carnation,
To bring her elation
A flower I know she prefers.

And not to sound sappy,
But making her happy,
Is a debt I gladly incur.

For when the dawn breaks
And when the sun rises
It brings with it Morning dew

Like spring or like autumn
From the top to the bottom
Each day brings us both something new

To this I endeavor
Forever, together
My love and her eyes of blue.

This Poems Story

My wife has the most beautiful blue eyes, and it was those eyes that mesmerized me from the moment we met.
