Follow Your Heart
Follow Your Heart
I followed my heart one day
And it led me in to disarray,
I wasn't ready for what I found
As I laid so sad upon the ground.
My world had ended so it seemed
With nothing left to be redeemed,
Innocence lost and left behind
Battered, bruised, and even blind.
But I picked myself up off the floor
And stood determined like never before,
I followed my heart again to see
If my love awaited somewhere for me.
How could I have ever known
How quickly love could be grown,
I found the one most true
Who chased away everything so blue.
My world became so vibrant and clear
Walking beside this one most dear,
I learned what it was to truly love
And feel the blessings from Above.
To feel the beat of two hearts as one
I followed my heart and I had won.
And though one day she'll be gone away
Our hearts will together always stay.
