Freedom and justice for all?
My ears are burning
at all the irrational and bigoted things
i’m hearing from ill fated
down hardened people
who have surrendered
and have accepted the eagle’s injured wing.
if we take the time allowed to us
to mend the wilted appendage,
it then can fly higher
and better than before,
we then can become
a united unit
of freedom and justice for all.
even for those self righteous
who don’t really want it for all.
at all the irrational and bigoted things
i’m hearing from ill fated
down hardened people
who have surrendered
and have accepted the eagle’s injured wing.
if we take the time allowed to us
to mend the wilted appendage,
it then can fly higher
and better than before,
we then can become
a united unit
of freedom and justice for all.
even for those self righteous
who don’t really want it for all.
