Gambling Fever

In twisted games of chance and fate,
We wager hearts, and risk our state,
The rush of adrenaline, a siren's call,
Lures us to tables, where fortunes fall.

The dice roll on, a mesmerizing spin,
Cards shuffle, and our hopes sink within,
The wheel of fortune turns, a blur of red,
We bet on luck, and pray for what's ahead.

But Lady Luck's a tease, a heartless guide,
She gives and takes, with a wink and a slide,
One moment we're kings, with winnings in hand,
The next, we're paupers, with nothing to stand.

Yet still we're drawn, to the gamble and play,
A love-hate affair, that's here to stay,
For in the thrill of chance, we find our delight,
A dance with fate, on this uncertain night.

So we'll roll the dice, and spin the wheel,
And pray that luck's on our side, and all is real,
For in the game of chance, we find our glee,
A love affair with risk, that's meant to be.
