God's Intention
The dogs continuously bark at nothing.
Fleeing thoughts can't be saved.
Communication is lacking.
And now in silence I rave.
All elegance escapes me now.
My silence is my mourning.
Encased in fear that bows
To the inevitable writing
Of too little, too late.
Were you just following your mate?
Or was an early death always your fate?
I cannot be angry with God,
So many have died as you did.
To ask why, will not be answered,
But to survive and really live for others
Will bring peace, and maybe
That was God's intention.
Fleeing thoughts can't be saved.
Communication is lacking.
And now in silence I rave.
All elegance escapes me now.
My silence is my mourning.
Encased in fear that bows
To the inevitable writing
Of too little, too late.
Were you just following your mate?
Or was an early death always your fate?
I cannot be angry with God,
So many have died as you did.
To ask why, will not be answered,
But to survive and really live for others
Will bring peace, and maybe
That was God's intention.
This Poems Story
I'm trying to make sense of why my niece died of breast cancer just months after her husband also died of pancreatic cancer. I know that there is no sense to it, and that it's not a punishment from God. This is simply how I grieve.
