Gone In The Night
can still be expressed when the day
is bright
torn in shambles ripped and worn
a dream can also be reborn
to give up on a dream is where
it ends, but a dream deferred
can begin again
ashamed and confused it will never
work out, we drag ourselves into
a pool of doubt
afraid and scared no one will care
we begin to look at our dream as a dare
it withers away until its erased
from the thoughts in our mind
it is also replaced
with regret and resentment
when we should've just given it
our full commitment
a dream that is gone in the night
shouldn't disintegrate without us
putting up a fight
