Harvest Oblivion
then the long hunt for slumber
was finally within my grasp
solace was driven away
the shadows escaped
let my resolve bow
under the weight
of my reality
take me into the black
obscure any light
that might find its way
I am desperate by now
to fade into oblivion
darkness overtake me
bind this being
within your embrace
there must be a way (to put me down)
the silence I avoid
for what awaits
the pain in place
if I remain still
the torment I would surrender unto
if this despair would ease
these burdens on me
absurd they have become
when I arise
will it have been worth the struggle
will I awaken something new
or will myself be present once more
was finally within my grasp
solace was driven away
the shadows escaped
let my resolve bow
under the weight
of my reality
take me into the black
obscure any light
that might find its way
I am desperate by now
to fade into oblivion
darkness overtake me
bind this being
within your embrace
there must be a way (to put me down)
the silence I avoid
for what awaits
the pain in place
if I remain still
the torment I would surrender unto
if this despair would ease
these burdens on me
absurd they have become
when I arise
will it have been worth the struggle
will I awaken something new
or will myself be present once more
