He Walks by Moonlight

Silent, sound, He walks by moonlight,
He smiles, his breath wastes into stars
That shiver down in flakes, the peak of night,
Hands clamped desperately around, a black umbrella
Scarf wrapped like bat wings trying to fight-
The bitter cold,
And yet a glow, resplendent light, and white-
Van Gogh, could not paint a starry night,
With so full a moon, with so bright-
The silhouette in the snow,
He glances my way, kind and quiet,
Then the masterpiece takes flight
And I am left grounded and awestruck,
In a pale land, two frozen hands
Silent, sound, I walk by moonlight.
