hold the fort
quick time to double time soldiers in the haze
shoulder to shoulder, marching in the base
the sounding siren beckon them to the firelight
like throng of valiant knights, just like the old drill night
the time has come to stay awake and alert
there has been so much time since the day of our birth
each day we are getting older says the sinews in our feet
its time to embark on tomorrows glorious feet
we climb the highest hill to gain the vantage point
set up queues of artillery to the valley of death were sent
climb the highest mountain among cliffs we were hanging
behind boulders of rocks, planking and palisading
we've been in so many battles and cross so many rivers
but they say war is futile just like a dying amber
not so long for Cezar of Rubicon and Lee of Potomac
their war is of clashing colors not just white or black
but let it be known that we' re made of flesh and blood
a sheer mortal that can be marred by rains and flood
we been to scandalous time the stinky teapot dome
battle wreck and burn like Gomorrah and Sodom
yet stumble or fall we pursue
onward, backward, or upside down we go
its the battle in ourselves the struggle to our worth
but when darkness engulf, let there be god to hold the forth
shoulder to shoulder, marching in the base
the sounding siren beckon them to the firelight
like throng of valiant knights, just like the old drill night
the time has come to stay awake and alert
there has been so much time since the day of our birth
each day we are getting older says the sinews in our feet
its time to embark on tomorrows glorious feet
we climb the highest hill to gain the vantage point
set up queues of artillery to the valley of death were sent

we've been in so many battles and cross so many rivers
