HOMELESS IN MILWAUKEE
Empty walletNo pocket
Living on the sidewalk
Tin cup in hand
Fill with sand
Don’t stand a chance
Not even a glance
Bed of stones
Could break his bones
Oh for a phone
Could he call home
There is no dial tone
Pass a bye
Don’t ask why
To this shy guy
Hungry bellies
Can't see him
Your eyes are too dim
He too had a dream
Who knows his story?
What is it to tell
Knee deep in hell
Waiting for the dinner bell
In the eyes of the homeless
Key Words : Milwaukee, Homeless, fifty states, careless
