I Am a Believer of the Future of Agriculture

Oh if I could share the tales of the old
I would share with you the meaning of the blue and gold
From border to border, I’m known in every state.
From year to year, my family grows at an alarming rate.
A simple blue jacket, I may be
But the future of agriculture starts with me.
I am more than a symbol, more than blue and gold.
I am the beginning of where leadership unfolds
I teach dedication to inspiring young minds.
I have witnessed history as time unwinds.
I have spoken to thousands through many young leaders.
I inspire dedication to beginning cattle breeders.
I have served many communities and led many chapters.
I persevere through struggles, and accept the job of any challengers
I have the wisdom of the owl, and the service of the plow.
And the freedom to explore the new horizons we have now.
I have the unity of the corn that provides a foundation display,
And I know with the rising sun is the promise of a new day.
I am learning to do with every challenge I pursue.
I am doing to learn to rightly accept what I earn
I am earning to live to provide the service I give
And I’m living to serve to build a nation we wish to preserve.
I am a farmer, server, leader, and instructor.
