I Am Still Alive
There were days I cried alone,
Wondering where my strength had gone. I carried burdens nobody knew, every morning, I started anew.
I lost some people along the way,
Some doors closed, and some chose to stray.
But through the storms and pouring rain,
I found the courage to rise again.
Every scar became a lesson to learn, every setback made me stronger than ever before.
Each disappointment strengthened my soul, each broken piece helped make me whole.
There were nights when hope seemed far, when I questioned my worth beneath the stars.
But deep inside, a voice remained,
Whispering, “You were built to withstand the pain.”
I stumbled sometimes, but I never stayed down,
Even when life tried to steal my crown.
I turned my struggles into stepping stones,
And learned to find strength when I stood alone.
Now I walk with wisdom, courage, and grace,
No longer afraid of life's uncertain pace.
My past may explain the battles I've won,
But it doesn't define who I've become.
Therefore, if you see me smiling when I awake, I want you to know there were tears I wiped away.
I fought some battles you never knew,
And found a strength I never knew I grew.
I am not unbroken; I've simply grown strong.
I have faced the darkness and kept moving along.
Life knocked me down, but I changed the game—
I may have been wounded, but I rose all the same!
Wondering where my strength had gone. I carried burdens nobody knew, every morning, I started anew.
