Impending Total Darkness
If the moon never had the stars,
It would be better off.
Because it would never have to experience
That gutwrenching pain
Every time one of them disappears.
It would be better off.
Because it would never have to experience
That gutwrenching pain
Every time one of them disappears.
Key Words : heartache, friendship ending, missing best friend, alone

This poem uses the moon and the stars as an expression of me and all the friends I\'ve lost. Every time a friend has walked away, it\'s like a star that disappears in the sky. I personified the moon to have feelings, to make it almost like it\'s afraid that all of the stars will disappear and it will be left in darkness. This is supposed to represent how I\'ve felt every time a friend walked away, feeling like one day I will be left all alone, \"in complete darkness.\"
