IN WEAKNESS YOU OFFER THE STRONGEST PRAYER
When I’m too tired to pray
When my brain is too foggy,
and my thoughts will not collect into meaning.
I reach out to You Lord, in desire, not words.
Because You, oh, God, speak the language of longing.
You understand the message of tears.
And in wordless prayer an exchange takes place,
Human and Divine love.
The deepest volume ever spoken with God, the richest fellowship,
doesn’t come with the most words,
but with the fervent yearning of the heart.
A gift to the Lord even the weakest of people, in body and mind can give.
