Insects from outer space

They crawl all over my body
gnawing my flesh and bones
as if i died in a horror movie
shocking dreams when i sleep alone.

from outer space three came to earth
large human insects, the likes i've never seen,
they started speaking to me
where they going to be mean?

will they want to suck my blood?
will they have the strength of an ant?
or maybe they will eat me
like the widow who eats her man.

they said to me they came in peace
as their antennae twitched to and fro
wondering should i believe them
but had nowhere else i could go.

i was at their mercy
for i knew what insects can do.
they approached me with their pincers out
nervously i reached my hand out too.

right before i shook their claws
a rush came over me
my body jerked up in a cold cold sweat
thank god it was only a dream.
