Issues of The Mind

I carelessly whisper to self
as snow on a hot day, beauty doth melt
wisdom of age at arm’s reach
though none to youth she doth teach

see here, see now, see well
and darkness of youth do tell
from highs, to lows
and gut-wrenching blows

One’s soul seeks out its home
where tis seen, heard and known
She wonders about like a bird without a nest
She knows not in self lies rest

fixation, the devil’s arsenal
reason, the devil’s advocate
remembrance! You disease
unattainable sleep, the antidote

restlessness is like a fire burning
for a way out the soul is yearning
a way to liberty
or deity
