Judge Kindly

You can't judge a book by its cover,
everyone on earth is our sister and brother.

We all have blood flowing thru our body,
inside we all look the same, yeah even you hottie.

Some people are vain and think there a star,
when others feel down and not up to par.

We all live on earth and breath in the air,
as it blows in our face and all thru our hair.

So try to be kind to the one feeling low,
It could always be you, you never know.

  8. Amarachi Nwawueze

I like the idea of this poem. Make sure to go through a fix grammatical errors. Good job

  9. Jessica Fava-Pack

Great concept the humor of the second line in the second stanza seems really stark next to the rest of the poem.

  10. Coral B

I really liked the idea of your poem, and I 100% agree with what your poem conveys. And the second line of this poem really stood out.

  11. William Drake

We need to be kind to each other, nice reminder.

  19. Carolina Fae

    Simple. Can use more depth

  20. Viviane Maigre

    Such a meaningful poem!

  21. Carah Fury

Great! though it should be Breathe, not breath. I also felt a few forced ryhmes which can sometimes throw off a reader! I loved the messege though! :)

  22. William Wright

    Interesting words, thoughts, Intel there

  23. Alisa Smith

I heard an internal rap to your lyrics. Very easy to read, and a relatable message.

  24. Jose Propest

The message is lovely, but as Carah said the rhymes feel forced, and personally I don't like the informal use of Thru but that's completely personal and it seems like it was the tone that you were going for.

  25. Bethany Ward

This is a cute poem! it seems like the kind of cheesy poem you would write for your crush in middle school. There are some parts where it is formal poetry, and then you use informal words like "hottie", and "thru". I think all you would need is more consistency. I could not tell if this was supposed to be a serious poem, or a fun and cute one.

  26. Fleet

    Simple and solid

  27. Jack Carter

This poem has such a sweet and gentle message about empathy, kindness, and unity. I really love how it emphasizes that, despite our differences on the outside, we’re all fundamentally the same on the inside. The simple rhyming structure makes it easy to follow and gives it a rhythmic, uplifting quality.

  28. Diya Agastya

This one is very funny and cute

  29. Francisca Cyprian

    Beautiful poem

  30. Vera Obochi-Arum

This is a nice and funny poem but true.

  31. Laila Shaheen

I love the rhyme scheme and despite the poem being simple, it holds a pretty powerful message

  32. Nat Hall

The theme is a bit cliche, but good. Nice consistency. Third stanza should be “they’re,” 4th stanza should be “breathe,” and I would avoid using “thru” instead of “through” without a good reason.

  33. Jordan Wetzel

The poem itself is very strong and sends a powerful message, with a hint of playfulness. Some spelling errors like using there instead of they're, and spelling thru instead of through. Fix these and it would be a strong submission.

  34. Jordan Wetzel

I wrote a poem with a similar theme, Why is it always war between light and dark? What about the other colors that set us apart? Many hues that we all possess. Some tints are fed more, some fed less. Traits that become shadows, or flourish in the day. In reality, we're all just shades of gray.

  35. Oluwatosin(Toye) Buoye

yeah you never know. It could be you. Love this.

  36. Christina Alley

Love the point this poem makes. Very good.

  37. Favour Adeyemi

You make a sense. But you can just try and write through the vintage of complexity, if dealing with normal or general topic.

  38. Cessè Rylers

Would've been more meaningful if through was spelled properly. The idea is nice but the presentation leaves a lot of room for improvement

  39. Scotty

Very thoughtful and well composed poem, i will make sure to keep reading some of your work!

  40. Robby John

love the complex exmotion youve used in this poem!

  41. Thomas Stauffer

Lovely message and lovely poem. Really like the breaking of the fourth wall (i.e., "...yeah even you hottie").

  42. Jen

Speaks true keep writing I'm excited to see what else you can do

  43. Merry Lee Smalls

Very true. At the end of the day what matters is what's on the inside. The prince and the pauper both wear socks--and they probably both have holes!

  44. MeganGoble

I enjoyed the truth and humour of the poem, but found the rhyme scheme a little simplistic.

  45. m_little

    They're Truthful writing

  46. Kumud Patel

  47. Kumud Patel

    Beautiful

  48. Victor Alan Blanchard

That was a pretty good poem you did great work on it

  49. Devan Hanson

Your message is good, but the content itself seems to lack depth.

  50. Maja Rupniewska

not my vibe but I love the final message and last verse

  51. Kate Eadie

funny! maybe a little too informal for the concept but good

  52. Tracy Johnson
