JUST TODAY

I saw the lovely morning
So full of hope and love
When I open up my door
And beat my breast
To love and smile for just today
So beautiful are the chirpy birds
So great heart has felt
To be great just for today
Like the eagle before the sky
My hopeful day is great
For how can I ever fail?
The greatness of my day
For I've prayed this morning
To be peace just for today
I've prayed so joyfully
To be kind just for today
A good and smiling day
Give peace today oh! Lord
Give me strength to feel
Let be the man I am
And heal the vessels at will
Only and only for today
Just for today.
