Lemon Girl

Sad little lemon girl
You’re starting to spot
Tiny little specks of green
Spoiled from bottom to top

A sad little space in a sad little world
Life’s squeezed out all your juice
Poor little lemon girl
You’re a rotten citrus fruit

In a bowl of oranges, mandarins, and limes
Your sour taste disperses
They all shrivel up and die
Leaving you alone
Poor little baby, mistaken for a yellow lime

Sad little lemon girl
You’re never chosen first
Unless it was to squeeze you dry
Little lemon girl don’t you even try
They will chew you up and spit you out
Nothing you can do

Poor little lemon girl
You can only rely on you
