Life is Harder

Purse, keys, glas ses, MASK,
A lot to remember to complete one task.
Senior hour at the grocery store
let’s hope they let me in the door!

Pas s a neighbor, smiles don’t work,
Give him a wink, he thinks you’re a quirk.
Don’t touch this, don’t touch that, not your face!
Get me out of this place!

Don’t bother with eye contact, try not to breathe,
Just hurry up so you can leave.
Accept no help, no need to brood,
Too many hands touching my food!

Skedaddle home to disinfect.
Dirty zone, clean zone, what the heck!
Spray, wait, wipe, rinse,
I must be crazy. Does this make sense?

Wash your hands, count to twenty,
Wash them again, wash them plenty.
They’re never too clean, don’t touch your face.
Wash them again, just in case.

Now do the car and all the knobs,
light switch, frig, remember the fob.
Let everything sit and then put it away
Now I’m exhausted, let’s call it a day!

It’s only 10am? Time to work.
Jiggle your mouse - a technology perk!
Settle in, don’t leave the room,
people are waiting, it’s time to Zoom!
