Life Line

What’s the point?
Disjointed and dispirited
A life accustomed to: I want

No purpose, my trajectory
Peters off, ricocheting between
The slightest inclination of interest to
Wintry nights of sleepless in Seattle

My battles resonates deep: Who am I?
Connected to no one,
Rejected, neglected I waste away
As the grains of sand slithers silently
To end my entropic existence of naught

What lies beyond then?
Will she throw me a life line,
Instead of throwing me away?
Will I finally meet her to
Hold my creator, my Mum?

Thank you for the gift of life
That makes missing a simple pleasure
Of holding you once,
That makes the measure of an
Abysmal ending worthwhile

As my pain numbs, I smile being
Warmed by the Sun as it caresses
My skin like the touch of a dear Mum.
