Loaded
Give us our daily bread,And keep the monsters under the bed”, she repeats.
And We all say:
‘You are useless”,
“You are nothing”,
“You are a curse I should have strangled at birth”
Screams, shouts, weeping as the
Music of life plays on solemnly
Dilapidation her haven.
Cold, black heaviness lay weighed
Salvation gleams inviting
Take the loaded answer to your prayers
Hold it in your mouth and squeeze
Tears streams, metal she tastes
Her Life stood, a loaded gun
Sneeze from the cold she did
“Bless you”, says a Passerby.
Squeeze!
“Give us our daily bread,
And keep the monsters under the bed”, she repeats.
And We all say: Amen
As Blessed is she; to teach her Three
In prayer we shall keep;
With my Kingdom safe, asleep.
