Lost and Gone
My heart is heavy and full of pain
I am the dragon that's been slain,
Once strong and full of might
Now a shadow of cast off light.
A mere reminder of days gone by
When life was easy and we didn't cry,
When still a hero to you I could be
And protect you with invincibility.
But the days have waned and grown so cold
And no longer am I brash and bold,
I've become a myth of days long gone
Sadly yearning for the start of a new dawn.
