Lovers of tomorrow

In to the night
a dreamless sleep,
prayers of some untold world —
into the night
a sleepless dream,
wondering what will occur.

Dragons breathe fire
knowing my ire;
past lovers fail to keep.
Angels are liars
knowing my desires
all thrown in a growing heap

of yesterday’s games
having no names
lovers of tomorrow depart.
repressed by shame
i’m placing the blame
on those who fib to start.

This Poems Story

Prayers before i sleep (praying for love), I wake up in the middle of the night and can\'t remember dreaming (untold world). I can\'t get back to sleep and wonder if my prayers will be answered. My anger at not holding on to relationships and those women that play games (I don\'t even remember their names). I hold back my shame (at first, blaming myself), Then realizing that it\'s those women that lie to get what they want.
