Loyola Blakefield

By Rachel

Last Friday a
varsity lacrosse player for
was nailed in the heart
by a lacrosse ball
and immediately went into
cardiac arrest
Loyola's athletic trainer
and his team saved
the athlete's life
by using an AED
to shock his heart back
into rhythm
Peter almost died
as his heart stopped
for a full four minutes
a Johns Hopkins
pediatric doctor as well
as two trauma nurses
(parents of other
players) were in the
stands and came
down to the field
to lend a helping hand
Peter was
revived and transported
to Sinai hospital
