Mirage
Walking alone along the road,
In search of a water source;
The clock said it's sharp noon,
So exhausting was the easy route.
My blood started warming up,
Pressure needed to decrease at first;
Lo! I sweated it in sad fury,
Still not enough to quench the thirst!
I tried salivating sweet,
To forget the recurring urge of thirst;
Do you think it affected for real?
Sadly it's a flash, else way a null!
I wandered and wandered,
Helter-skelter in the crazy search;
I did not know if I would ever get,
But I tried and longed not too late!
All of a sudden, there I see;
The most anticipated of my mind,
The water that shines on the tar;
Like it was a colourful dream so kind.
It was too far from where I beheld
Beautiful just as a constant horizon;
The long elongated with no end,
And I wanted to reach being only one!
The desires are wonderful to feel,
Alas! the outcomes, not so worth;
Will the same happen to me?
Or will I have it quenched within the girth?
The nearer I went, the brighter it looked;
And I loved it like an infant's smile,
The judgement started unknowing enough;
To soak me in a dry expectations' Nile!
Guess what? The elixir, almost a few long feet,
And the saturation curve exponentially arose;
Will reach there soon in a few moments,
And see if I am happy as a proud rose?
There reached I, full of wonder;
Was I simply hallucinating?
I found a dark lea, as it was elsewhere,
And nothing that could quench me dead thirsting!
Unfathomable depth of despair I felt,
And made a water of my own eyes red!
It was an illusion, my dear me,
A mirage, concretely a virtual sea!
In search of a water source;
The clock said it's sharp noon,
So exhausting was the easy route.
My blood started warming up,
Pressure needed to decrease at first;
Lo! I sweated it in sad fury,
Still not enough to quench the thirst!
